Oliver Bradford George

Our little man has finally come. He was due Sunday April 15th and he came to us at 6:32 pm on Monday April 16th. It was actually a shock to us because we thought he'd be a week late or more!
I was so worried I would not know when I was having real contractions but like they say "you just know" I knew. I called my cnm and went over to see her around 10:15 and was dilated to a 4 and completely effaced, she said you are in labor you can head to the hospital and gave me a high 5. I headed to the lobby where Darin was sitting and i said let's go, then I smiled and said we gotta head to the hospital! He was excited to say the least.
We headed home packed our bags and went to whole foods for an after labor snack.
When we got here I rode out labor and wasn't checked again until around 2 by then I was at a 6 and they steadily progressed over the next little while, it wasn't till I was about a 7-8 that it started getting hard.. There were some intense moments and a lot of help from my love, but we did it and at 6:32 our almost 9 pounder was born.
He is so gorgeous and special, we could not be happier and feel incredibly blessed to be guardians of such a sweet spirit.
We love u Ollie!

I'm sure it wasn't "easy" but it sounds like you had a very quick labor!!! Go girl!!!! I wonder what it will be like this time around because my water broke and that was my sign of being in labor! I don't remember what contractions feel like!!! Oh what we instantly forget when we see that cute baby for the first time!!! Anyways, I am so proud of you and little Oliver is presh! So happy he is here!

Haha! After labor snack :) Sydney, you are an inspiration! I hope I sound as easy-going after birthing my first child as you do. Love you guys! Yay, baby Oliver! Hey, what is his middle name?

Just kidding about that middle name. I just read the title of this post (pregnancy brain...).
