The most wonderful time of the year!

So my post is a little late considering it is about 4 days until Christmas, But I absolutely Love Christmas time! My favorite thing is to have the fireplace going, drink hot Wassail (or Hot Chocolate) And watch ABC families' 25 days of Christmas on TV at night during the week (Especially when they play the Christmas Classics like Rudolph and Frosty, but i always seem to be at work when those ones are on! blahh )(when I'm not working or busy, unfortunately this year it isn't very often that I'm not busy working).
This Year Darin and I got a little Christmas tree for our apartment, A real one! Ive always had fake ones and He has always had real ones, so... we went with the real one, and I know this sounds really pathetic but Christmas tree shopping was harder than i thought, and not because it took us hours to find the perfect tree, but because i felt bad for all the defective little trees!! I wanted to get one that was scantily bristled so he could fulfill his Christmas destiny But Darin just wouldn't have that! So we compromised (sort of) and got one that is only a little flat on the back side (which worked out just fine for him since one side has to go against the wall anyway).

Darin and I have had a fun first (Married) Christmas together so far, We went a little overboard buying gifts for one another (for some reason we both like to buy things for one another a little too much, i have a feeling this won't last ha ha) But It's been fun spending the holidays with one another and baking little treats and making him be my taste tester! I got us some new ornaments for our tree as well, I like the Ornaments at Anthropologie, the ones that look kind of Homemade, so i got a couple to add to my collection, I even got one for Darin! here are some of my favorites.

This is my mermaid, Darin Hates her ha ha

(It's a Blow fish)

This is Faye's Ornament, it's a lil Bulldog!

I got him for Darin he likes to randomly name him Dink?

& Our newly wed first Christmas ornament

Did I mention I LOVE Christmas?!?

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year everyone!

Just a hint of embarrassment

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have jumped on the band wagon and have started reading the Twilight series, But not as embarrassed to admit that i actually LOVE it. I know I know, I thought the same thing, How could a book about a vampire and a human falling in love be good I mean it truly is the epitome of corny, Oh but how wrong I was! I have only read the first book, And i absolutely loved it, I really didn't have time to read it so I read it in between classes and on breaks at work and I finished the thing in three days!
Darin got me the series for Christmas and I'm chomping at the bit to read the second book!
So i guess the old saying is true "don't judge a book by it's cover" (Literally)!

And I mean come on, could the Edward in the movie be any cuter?

Thanksgiving 2008

This Thanksgiving Darin and I went to Lincolnton, NC and spent time with his WHOLE family! It was a short trip with tons of people tons of food tons of dogs and not such a big space, but we all had a great time!
Here are some pictures of the day:

Let the music move you

So i Honestly thought no band from modern day could ever compare to my love of the classics. But one band has gone and done it, and I could listen to their tunes all day long.
I loved their last CD, and their newest CD - Only By the Night is just as amazing.

if you haven't heard of Kings of Leon, I recommend them ... HIGHLY

The Craft of Halloween

This year Darin and I found of niche, we had a blast carving pumpkins (maybe a little too much fun) We ended up carving about nine or ten pumpkins (not including the pumpkins that didn't work out because they were too thick) I must say though, Our yard looked pretty cool with our Jack - o - Lanterns lit up all over it!

here's some pictures, the pictures don't do them justice though ha ha!

Beachin' with the in-Laws

About three weeks ago, Darin and I went to Sunset Beach with his family, it was a lot of fun getting to spend more time with them & getting to know them better. We had good food, fun times and a lot of laughs. I only wish all his family could have been there... (we missed you Sara & Jessica!)

I didn't take too many pictures, it's my biggest vice! I need to work on it. here are a couple, of Suzie of course!

At my favorite restaurant, we found a random license plate with the tiny little city Darin's family lives on it, Of course we had to take a picture!

New Found Things to keep busy

Although I am a full time student, I sometimes feel like when I get home from school I waste away, and do nothing (School is not an excuse to be lazy the rest of the day SYDNEY!) so the new things I am trying out to motivate my self are as follows :

1. New Diet (Sydney wants to look cute if she is gunna have to be in a bridesmaid dress in January).2. I got a new job, (well not really new.. more like RE-new). This will take up a couple nights a week, and will give me that great discount i have missed!
3. Tonight My mom asked me to come to young women's for the "Jazzercise" class, so I did, and once i got over the fact that i looked like a complete idiot, I LOVED it! It really is great exercise and a lot of fun. SO... Jazzercise it is. ( And I def. have to have one of the leotards like these guys!)
4. And Finally, When I do have an ounce of free time, there is always my project that I am still working on one step at a time!
Now I know for some of you super women out there this doesn't seem like a lot, But for me it will be.But I feel really pumped up. Wish Me luck!

When the leaves fall, so do I ... In love that is

Dear Fall,

You really don't understand how truly in love with you I am.
You give me the warm fuzzies (but in case you don't, there always seems to be some cider for me to sip on). And although the beautiful Burnt Oranges, Dark browns, Yellows and reds don't look so cute on yours truly, they suit you quite nicely.
You inspire people to cook the most delicious foods, and your cool breeze allows me to wear the biggest comfiest sweaters i can find.
Oh Fall, I am so thrilled you have come to see me again, I only wish i knew why you ever have to leave?
